Pyramid participates in Mayor Daley’s WorkNet Chicago to assist local businesses with finding job-ready employees and helps Chicagoans find, train for, keep, and advance in well paid jobs. WorkNet Chicago is comprised of more than 100 community-based organizations located citywide
Employment Services Free of Charge to Job-Seekers
Pyramid’s Satellite One-Stop Center provides a wide range of self  accessed services that are available in the Resource Room.  Books, newspapers and other  printed materials are available to all job-seekers, including:

  • Computers for Internet Access 
  • Career planning literature
  • Job search techniques
  • Training program information
  • Unemployment insurance referral
  • Basic skills courses information
  • Veterans services information 
  • Computerized job openings
  • Copying cover letters and resumes
  • Fax letters and resumes 

    • Job Seeker Services

    Some job seekers are eligible for services through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).  Job seekers who meet income eligibility and other criteria may qualify for WIA sponsored programs.  WIA job seekers also have the self accessed use of the resource room.

    Resource Room hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

    Job Seeker Orientation Sessions
     
    The Center has two orientation sessions held in the Resource Room each week.  These sessions describe the services available to all job seekers through WorkNet Chicago.  These sessions also begin the process of WIA eligibility determination
